How To Monitor Your Data Usage

The primary way to monitor your data usage is through the MCSnet My Account App. This app allows you to:

  • Monitor Monthly Usage: See how much data has been used within the current billing cycle.
  • Identify Device Usage: Understand which devices are connected to the account and potentially consuming the most data.
  • Track Payments and Packages: Manage billing information and view details about your current internet plan.
  • Receive Notifications: MCSnet sends email notifications as customers approach higher percentages of their usage limits, providing warnings before they hit your cap.

Upgrade Instantly

If you receive a notification you are nearing your traffic cap and you have a number of days remaining before the end of the month, you can upgrade your package instantly to one with higher data. 

Once you upgrade to a higher package, you will remain on this package for 30 days. After that time, you have the option to downgrade by contacting Customer Service at 1-866-390-3928 or customerservice@mcsnet.ca

“Unlimited Mode”

If you are close to the end of the calendar month and you don’t want to move to a higher package, you also have the option to choose “unlimited mode”. This is a throttled speed to provide basic internet service until you reach the end of the month. Once the 1st of the month arrives, you will return to regular speeds.
